Levant Wetlands

Picture
Bangor Land Trust owns 11 acres in Levant, including a wetland, spruce forest, and a field that is growing in with raspberries. The property is located close to a large marsh and offers valuable habitat to local wildlife. As part of the watershed that connects Black Stream, Kenduskeag Stream, and the Penobscot River, this wetland is closely intertwined with the health and vitality of surrounding ecosystems.

This preserve does not have signs or trails and is currently being kept as wildlife habitat.

Directions: Take Union Street through Levant and stay straight on Avenue Road when Union Street becomes Stetson Road.  The BLT property is immediately after Levant Heights Drive on the left.
