Cap off the biking season with one of these great rides. The roads are great, the terrain is level and the views of the Penobscot River are magnificent. There will be T-shirts, rest stops along the way, sag wagons and a celebration at Sea Dog Brewery at the end.

The Routes
The 2011 Pedal the Penobscot Road Ride consists of a 28-mile loop, a 76-mile loop and, new this year, a 100-mile Century route!  All routes will travel along both sides of the mighty Penobscot River beginning at Bangor's waterfront and ending at Sea Dog Brewery.

Who Can Do It
Pedal the Penobscot is a ride, not a race. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome. Teams are encouraged and are a great way to involve co-workers, family and friends. Limited to 250 riders. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

What You Get
A T-Shirt and a celebration at the Bangor waterfront are just the start. Riders will also receive a one-year membership to Bangor Land Trust which includes our newsletter and special events throughout the year.

The Cause
Bangor Land Trust needs your support to secure public access to local lands, conserve wildlife habitat and maintain trails.

Support During the Ride
Water stops, sweeper bikes, breakdown vans, and medical teams will be available along the routes. Can't ride? Volunteer on ride day.

Rider Safety
Riders must wear helmets and obey all traffic laws.
