2001
August 28, 2001Bangor Land Trust (BLT) founders hold an organization Board meeting with Nathan "Pete" Dane III as incorporator. Founding Board members are Lucy Quimby, Shepard Harris, James Hinds, Nathan Dane, Richard Andren, Dorothy Croall, Hope Brogunier, Robert Milardo, and Joni Dunn.

BLT is recognized as a non profit organization by the State of Maine.
2002
October 2002BLT holds its first Annual meeting at The Courtyard on Hammond Street.
December 2002
Bangor Land Trust participates in the first organizational meeting of the Caribou Bog – Penjajawoc Project.
December 12, 2002
BLT receives its IRS tax-exempt status.
2003
May 21, 2003Columbia Street Baptist Church gifts a one-third interest in 10.9 acres of land by the Penjajawoc Marsh to BLT.
October 2003
BLT holds its second Annual Meeting at the Quimby/Gratwick home on Kenduskeag Avenue.
2004
January 2004The Land for Maine's Future Program makes a $300,000 award to the Caribou-Bog Penjajawoc Project.
August 2004
The BLT Board of Directors accepts the Land Trust Alliance's "Standards and Practices."
October 2004
BLT holds its third Annual Meeting at the Bangor Public Library on Harlow Street.
December 20, 2004
The BLT Board of Directors accepts Fritz and Caroline Oldenburg's gift of 13.1 acres of West Penjajawoc Grasslands adjacent to the Audubon Society land on Fox Hollow.
2005
January 2005With three representatives on the Penjajawoc Marsh/Bangor Mall Task Force, BLT presents the Maine Audubon Society report on the Penjajawoc Marsh Ecosystem to the City of Bangor and the public.
February 16, 2005
BLT signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Fritz and Caroline Oldenburg and Jane and Dennis Shubert for a gift of 410 acres to be gifted over a 10 year period.

BLT's first staff member, Lyndsey Monroe, starts work in an office at EMDC.

BLT holds its fourth Annual Meeting at the Bangor Public Library on Harlow St.

BLT launches its Kickoff Campaign and installs a kiosk at the West Penjajawoc Grasslands property.

BLT accepts a gift of 205.51 acres adjacent to the Bangor City Forest from Walden-Parke LLC.

January 3, 2006BLT moves with EMDC to a new office location in Norumbega Hall.

Board approves collaboration with Keep Bangor Beautiful (KBB) on the Bangor Trails project.

The first edition of the Bangor Land Trust Newsletter is published by Northeast Reprographics and UMaine Printing Services.

BLT is officially notified of acceptance into the Focus Species Forestry/Community Forest Program with Maine Audubon.

BLT and KBB officially launch Bangor Trails with "Building a Community Trail System," -- a presentation by Alix Hopkins at the Bangor Public Library on Harlow St.

BLT signs a conservation easement with Hammond Lumber Company for 11.18 acres of wetland off Avenue Rd. in Levant.

The Bangor Trails committee holds their first planning meeting at Norumbega Hall. Those present were Lucy Quimby, Shep Harris, Dick Andren, Devon Carter, Jim Ring, Kathy Guerin, Scott Wilkerson, and Mike Pullen.

The Davis Conservation Foundation approves partial funding of the Bangor Trails Mapping Project.
May 18, 2006
The Land for Maine's Future Program makes a $446,000 award for Phase II of the Caribou Bog-Penjajawoc Project.

Bangor Land Trust's Community Outreach Program is funded by the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation. Lyndsey's hours increase to 30 per week.

BLT holds a Walden-Parke Preserve Stakeholders' Meeting at the Bangor Public Library on Harlow Street.

BLT hires Sean Gambrel to map existing BLT properties and City open spaces for Bangor Trails.

BLT holds its fifth Annual Meeting at Husson College's Richard E. Dyke Center for Family Business. The Trust for Public Land's David Queeley, Wolfe Tone, and Breece Robertson gave a presentation on Greenprinting.

BLT hires Chandra McGee for the Community Educator/Volunteer Coordinator position.
2007
January 8, 2007BLT receives $1000 from Epic Sports from the proceeds of their New Year's Eve 5K Road Race with Sub 5 Track Club. Chandra McGee starts work.

BLT moves into new office space at 27 State St. in Downtown Bangor.
